“The resources belong to Senegalese who have the right to know what is made of them.It must be informed by demonstrating pedagogy even if the technical terms can be difficult to explain,” said Mactar Cisse to members of the delegation, present in South Africa.

He notably began meetings with representatives of companies pending the official launch on Tuesday, November 05, 2019, of the call for tenders on research licenses. Senegal is taking advantage of the Africa Oil Week to launch the international tender for twelve (12) free blocks located in the maritime zone, said the Director General of Petrosen, Mr. Mamadou Faye.

It will be a question of sharing the information on these research surfaces but also to inform the companies of the new legal environment that governs the research and exploitation of hydrocarbons since the adoption of a new code in March 2019.
